@JayslowI just don’t get it. It doesn’t seem like the most cost-effective advertising model, for sure. Spend loads of $ to generate empty hype for a game 3 years before it releases. You get an immediate bump, because it’s new and people are excited. Then, time wears on, and everyone starts whining ‘where is it?’
You don’t want to be seen as vaporware, so then you rush out an unfinished shell of your game. Why not just finish the game first, and THEN blow your advertising dollars while the physical…
